This is very much a local show, telling the story of the Founding leader of an independent Singapore, and the early struggles and successes of forming Singapore. It was done very well though, makes for an interesting mix of entertaining musical, and educational history!

Two of our favourite musical actors/singers were doing a concert series - so, of course we had to go!

   
 

Not a musical, but if there are no musicals to see, you cast a wider net. This was fun!

There are not many theatres in the Lake District, so this was a couple of hours drive just to see a show. More a "tribute band" than a musical, but still a night out at the theatre.

Last time we saw Hamilton, we in front row side seats - in one way nice, but in another way, not the best position to see a 'whole picture view'. So this time, we were up in the balcony. Great show - very fresh and different to most musicals.

Another visit to Phantom. It's a good show - but, to be honest, I think I've seen it enough times now, all over the world. Still, when going to the half-price ticket booth - you take whatever is on offer!

SiX tells the story of the six wives of King Henry VIIIth. His palace, where all these lovely queens stayed with Henry, was Hampton Court Palace. How special, it therefore was, to watch the musical SIX! in concert in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace itself. Great show - very simple, but lots of fun!

 

Disney can be relied upon to have some great 'tricks' in their productions, as well as songs to remember - this one was no exception! Watched at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in London, in June 2022.

 

First time seeing 'Heathers', and it will be the last. I'm sure it has it's good points, but it was not a show I enjoyed at all.

First time seeing 'Come From Away' - a very simple show - but effective, and a unique musical retelling of a moment in History. Not Shanhong's favourite - but I enjoyed it!
